Makita XNB02Z 18V Finish Nailer, 16 Gauge, 2-1/2

The Makita 18V LXT Lithium-Ion cordless 2-1/2” straight finish nailer, 16 GA. (model XNB02Z, tool only), is perfect for trim work, baseboard and crown molding installation, flooring, and other woodworking tasks. This compact and powerful nailer can drive standard 16 gauge straight finish nails ranging from 1” to 2-1/2” in length, with a magazine capacity of up to 110 nails. With the use of an 18V LXT 5.0Ah battery (sold separately), the XNB02Z has the capability to drive up to 1,000 finish nails on a single charge.

For ease of use, the XNB02Z features an anti-dry fire mechanism that helps to prevent driving blanks and protects the work surface from damage. It also includes a 2-mode selector switch, trigger lock button, and “tool-less” depth adjustment for precise flushing and countersinking finishes. As part of Makita’s expanding 18V Lithium-Ion system, this nailer is compatible with the world’s largest cordless tool system powered by 18V Lithium-Ion slide-style batteries.

Makita 18V Lithium-Ion batteries are known for their fast charge times, ensuring that you can spend more time working and less time waiting for your tools to recharge. To enhance tool performance and prolong battery life, Makita has implemented Star Protection Computer controls. This communication technology allows the tool and battery to exchange real-time data, monitoring conditions during use to prevent overloading, over-discharging, and overheating.

The XNB02Z can also be powered by Makita 18V LXT and compact Lithium-Ion batteries with the Star symbol, indicating the presence of Star protection inside. Its powerful motor design can drive standard 16 gauge, straight finish nails from 1" to 2-1/2" in length, and it can drive up to 1,000 finish nails using a 5.0Ah 18V LXT battery (battery not included).

Being cordless, this nailer offers increased convenience by eliminating the need for a compressor and air hose. Its compact center height allows for easy viewing around the nose tip when fastening in tight spots. Additionally, the reversible belt clip ensures that the tool remains close at hand for quick access.
