Makita XSR01Z 36V LXT Brushless Rear Handle Circular Saw

Makita, a pioneer in brushless motor technology and battery innovation, has combined both in the 18V X2 LXT (36V) Lithium-Ion Brushless Rear Handle 7-1/4” Circular Saw (XSR01Z). This tool, sold separately without batteries or a charger, is powered by two 18V LXT Lithium-Ion batteries for maximum performance. The electronically-controlled BL Brushless motor in the XSR01Z adjusts torque and RPM to match the application requirements.

With Makita's 18V X2 technology, users can experience the freedom of a cordless tool, even when tackling demanding tasks like cutting sheet and dimensional lumber. This saw allows users to stay within the same battery platform, using the 18V batteries that can be quickly charged and are compatible with the entire Makita 18V LXT cordless tool series.

The XSR01Z boasts a number of features aimed at providing efficient cutting without the constraints of a cord. The blade-left rear-handle design will be particularly appreciated by users accustomed to leading corded saws. The brushless motor delivers an impressive 5,100 RPM for smooth and efficient cutting. In internal testing, this saw was able to make up to 558 cross-cuts in 2x4 SPF lumber on a single charge using two 5.0Ah batteries.

Additional features of the XSR01Z include a large 2-9/16” cutting capacity at 90 degrees, allowing for cutting 3X lumber in a single pass, as well as an electric brake for increased productivity. The saw features a die-cast magnesium base and blade guard, along with a die-cast aluminum blade cover and motor housing, providing durability with reduced weight (only 12.4 lbs. with batteries, sold separately).

As part of Makita's expanding 18V Lithium-Ion system, the XSR01Z is compatible with a range of batteries that offer fast charge times, maximizing work time and minimizing downtime. The Star Protection Computer Controls ensure improved tool performance and extended battery life by monitoring conditions in real time to protect against overloading, over-discharging, and overheating.
