Makita 18V LXT Compact Brushless Cordless Combo Kit

Makita has introduced a revolutionary class of cordless tools with the 18V LXT® Sub-Compact series. Providing users with the convenience of 12V handling paired with the power of 18V performance, these Makita® Sub-Compact Products are also compatible with the world’s largest 18V cordless tool system.

One of the standout offerings in this new lineup is the CX203SYB combo kit, which includes two 18V sub-compact solutions ideal for drilling, driving, and fastening in tight spaces. This kit features an ultra-compact brushless driver-drill and impact driver. The driver drill boasts two speed settings, a metal jampot design for enhanced durability, and offers an impressive 350 in.lbs. of Peak Torque. Meanwhile, the variable-speed brushless impact driver provides 1,240 in.lbs. of Max Torque and includes Assist Mode (A-mode) to prevent “screw cam-out” and "cross threading" by starting at a low speed.

These tools are part of Makita’s growing 18V LXT System, which is renowned as the largest cordless tool system globally, powered by 18V lithium-ion slide-style batteries. Makita® 18V LXT Lithium-Ion Batteries are known for their quick charge times, allowing for more efficient work time and less downtime waiting for the batteries to recharge.

To further enhance tool performance and extend battery life, Makita has integrated Star Protection Computer Controls™ into their products. This innovative communication technology enables the tool and battery to exchange real-time data, monitoring conditions during use to prevent overloading, over-discharging, and overheating. Additionally, the tool can be powered by Makita 18V LXT Lithium-Ion Batteries with the star symbol, indicating Star Protection.

The driver-drill itself is designed for maximum operator comfort, weighing only 2.9 lbs. with the battery attached. Its compact and ergonomic build, measuring just 5-7/8" in length, makes it easy to handle in tight spaces. The mechanical variable 2-speed transmission (0-500 & 0-1,700 RPM) ensures versatility for a wide range of drilling and fastening applications, while the Makita-built Brushless Motor delivers reliable performance with 350 in.lbs. of Peak Torque.
